Barack Obama’s Family Is A Great Role Model: Do You Put Family First?

How do you lose focus on what’s important?
I mean, nobody likes to admit it, but have you ever found yourself so engrossed in learning a new skill, and perfecting that new skill, that you forgot the point of learning the skill in the first place?
Back in November and December I was really focused on getting valuable information to my readers. A change in the technology presented a real challenge to my skill level.
It has really been a fun journey. Here we are in March and the slide show, that will give the home page pictures, is not quite finished! (But will be very soon!)
Let’s not even talk about those community forum challenges! (Not quite so close to complete.)
But hey, I have had a great time learning and growing!
The past week I have become painfully aware of how scattered my focus is.
I took the time to learn these new skills because I want you to be able to find the information that will help YOU, just as quickly as possible when you visit my blog.
So Why Have My Posts Been Few and Far Between Since January?!
Well, first off, let me apologize to you. I lied to you! After promising to stay in touch, and having every intention of reaching out daily with support and friendship, I have let you down!
I truly care about you!
So how could I let you down like that?
Did you miss me?
I hope you have so much support from friends and family that you didn’t notice the lack of support!
Our friends and family are the ones we turn to for comfort when times get tough.
Barack Obama’s Family is a perfect example of family supporting each other in the good times as well.
While I was focused on working through my frustrating learning curve, I also let my support and communication with my children slide.
You know… I was there, but I wasn’t.
Thank goodness I have only been living in this daze for a few months.
Again, I apologize! I have awakened with a new zest for life.
The “How To” is NOT important without those who really matter to you!
The past week has actually been a lot of fun. When I came to my senses and realized that I had some lost time to make up for, I was on a mission to reconnect with everyone I love. Everyone has been busy doing new things and exploring new interests!
I wasn’t aware how disconnected I had become until I realized how much I had missed.
My mom and dad were more informed than I was! They live in Montana, yet they knew more about my daughter’s efforts to raise money for a trip to China than I did!
They found out more about their grand-daughter from My Space and email than I did picking her up from the bus and eating dinner with her!
Glad I didn’t miss the little message that my life was passing me by, and my daughter growing up without my active involvement!
Any wake up call will do! When you look around and see that you have lost sight of your priorities, it is time for corrective course action!
When I took action to mend the broken connection with each of my kids, I began to notice a lot of places in my life that needed attention.
Most importantly I saw the huge holes here on my blog.
“I have so much to give you. I talk to you all day everyday!
Now it is time to get it out to you consistently!”
When you get things right in one area of your life, that will help you make improvements in every other aspect of your life!
I am getting rid of things I’ve had for years!
Suddenly the house is so much more open, and wearing a brand new energy. My kids seem to be laughing more and and enjoying each others’ company instead of holing up in their rooms.
Have you done this type of purging?
When was the last time you did it? Maybe its time to do it again?
There is nothing like giving away what you don’t use, and shedding worn out belongings to create a SHIFT in your vibrational frequency.
Times of change, by choice or circumstance, give you an opportunity to bring clarity to every aspect of your life.
Losing site of my priorities has been a blessing.
I have been given a chance to reflect on just how important my relationships are, and how much YOU really matter to me.
Thank goodness more time wasn’t lost.
Have you disconnected from the people in your life?
Is it time that you took corrective course action?
Don’t let another day go by without taking stock of your blessings and showing them appreciation!
I know that you have people in your life who are counting on you just like I do. Your community needs you.
You can make the world a better place. One person really can make a difference!
The Secret Is Staying Connected
I am glad to have renewed focus. Living in each moment and staying connected to those around me will remind me to serve daily, starting with a post to this blog.
I am proud of what I am able to accomplish by plugging in and connecting on a regular basis with caregivers wanting better quality of life for their patients and for themselves.
I care, and I want to help you and those you care for!
The simplest things will make ALL the difference.
You have so much to share!
