Stiff Neck?

Do you literally have a pain in the neck most of the time?
Are you often tense?
You are in good company.
It seems to be going around.
If you have had head, neck, shoulder, or back pain lately answer the following questions:
- Have you had any water to drink today?
- Do you work up a light sweat with activity regularly?
- Do you eat your foods mostly processed, or whole?
- Do you eat your foods mostly cooked, or raw?
- Are you a habitual user of stimulants?
- How easy is it for you to express your emotions?
- Are you harboring any grudges?
Now ask yourself one more question. Are you ready to take action to reduce your pain? Sick of that stiff neck?
It may not be easy to hear that you are the cause of your own suffering, but to a large extent that is true.
If you want to reduce your head, neck, shoulder, and back pain, take care to give yourself:
- Water, everyday.
- Activity (the fun kind if possible)
- Whole foods!
- Fresh raw fruits and vegetables and their juices are truly healing foods.
- If you are taking stimulants to energize, you are causing tension to accumulate in your muscles. Stimulants cause a stress response in your bodies chemistry. Drink water rather than stress and give yourself a break.
- Expressing your emotions will reduce your stress significantly when done in a healthy productive way. Just being conscious that you need to express your emotions will help you get your “chill on”. Relax, let it all hang out with the people you care about.
- No matter how hard it is for you to find forgiveness for something, just know that any unforgiveness only hurts you. Finding forgiveness is about setting yourself free.
Hey easy enough, right?
Don’t hurt yourself now. Change is only lasting when it feels good, and is done in bite size pieces.
Stimulants need to be weaned slowly to prevent withdrawl symptoms.
If you think of activity as a chore, it will feel like one.
If you need help with a shift in your attitude towards a healthier diet you might want to check out books on the subject from your local library. One of my favorites is The Anti-Inflammation Diet and Recipe Book. Don’t let the title throw you, it’s about reducing pain naturally.
Get rid of your stiff neck so you can relax.
Many blessings,
Carrie
PS– Remember everyday:
-
Relax and Release tension
-
Take deeep breaths
-
Be active in a way that adds joy to your life

I found for me I get my stiff neck when I over do it. What that means is I am working and doing way above my stamina. I get into the coffee and burn out my adrenals.
I keep on going even when I am tired. In My mind I rationalize that I have to keep on going no matter and that the coffee will keep me going.
When I need to do is listen to my body, drink green tea and rest when I need to rest.
Hi Ursula,
I hope that is one bad habit you resolve to break this year. Ten years ago I was living with incredible pain. Learning that sleep is magic saved me from years and years of suffering.
When I am tired I go to bed. Even if it is the middle of the day. I am usually back up and at it with far more focus once I am rested.
I think of coffee, and any other stimulant for that matter, like borrowing energy that will have to be paid back later. I’m not so likely to turn to it for help when I know there is a pay back. Ask your adrenal glands, they will agree that it is not worth it
Many blessings,
Carrie
