Don’t expect to have symptoms before a stroke.
If you are observing symptoms of stroke, it is best to assume that a stroke is presently occurring, and call 911.
There are, however, risk factors for stroke that you should be aware of:
Controllable or treatable risk factors:
- high blood pressure
- atrial fibrillation
- high cholesterol
- diabetes
- tobacco use and smoking
- alcohol use
- physical inactivity
Uncontrollable risk factors:
- family history
- fibromuscular dysplasia
- patent foramen ovale
- previous stroke or TIA

When you think about someone having a heart attack, does it involve drama, grabbing the chest and falling to the floor?
How does a heart attack effect the body?
Though chest pressure is a common symptom of heart attack, you may also experience other less obvious symptoms.
More women are dying of heart disease than men! Women especially may experience symptoms that are vague and not as obvious.
Women shoulder so much of the burden in modern society that they often push through the pain, dismissing it as normal everyday pain.
If you have a heart attack, your life may depend on getting help fast!
It is important that doctors and patients pay much closer attention to save lives! Problem is, women don’t get the respect they deserve in and ER the way that men do.
If more women die of heart disease than men, why are women still not being carefully evaluated when they come in with vague symptoms of pain?
Good question! Your life may depend on you complaining loud enough to get the care you desperately need!

When You Think Colonoscopy Risks, Do You Think Kidney Damage?
April 8, 2009 by Carrie Tucker

Kidney damage has been linked to a class of drugs that is very commonly given before a colonoscopy.
Do you want to risk the health of your kidneys?
What good will it do to verify your colon health if you are harming your kidneys in the process?
There is a “black box warning” on colon-cleansing drugs containing sodium phosphate, because they have been linked to permanent kidney damage resulting in a lifetime of dialysis as well as a host of other complications!
So WHY are these drugs very commonly prescribed as colon cleansers before a colonoscopy?
Are doctors unaware of the dangers? Are they cheaper than other similar drugs?
Why the hell would they risk your kidneys?!
Good question! Though the answer doesn’t really matter. YOU can watch out for yourself on this one!
When you think colonoscopy risks, THINK about your kidneys! Read more
How Important Is Oxygen?

If you have low oxygen levels you are dying.
Denial is not effective treatment for low oxygen levels. Even if you “feel okay”.
Oxygen hitches a ride on your red blood cells in order to travel around your body. If your oxygen level is too low (below 92%) the oxygen molecules can’t make the leap. The pressure is too low.
When your oxygen level is below 92%, the oxygen that is in your blood cruises around in your circulation but the pressure isn’t high enough for it to actually get where it is needed.

Low oxygen levels rob you of your health and can kill you. Will you feel it if you have a low oxygen level?
Many people who have dangerously low oxygen levels report “feeling just fine” despite their pale color and confusion.
Watch for the following signs:
- water retention (especially feet/ ankles)
- shortness of breath/ difficulty breathing
- extreme fatigue
- chest tightness
- mental confusion/ short-term-memory loss
- tingling fingers
- chronic cough
- blue coloring around lips
- waking at night gasping for breath
Your body requires 92% blood oxygen saturation or above. There is no getting around your oxygen requirement.
If you ignore your low oxygen level you will lose your eye sight, short term memory, and your strength and stamina. The progressive weakening of your heart muscle will contribute to your heart failure.
Whether you feel concerned or not, get to your doctor and have your oxygen levels checked if you have any of the symptoms listed above.
It does NOT matter whether you suffer with low oxygen levels, or you “feel fine” with low oxygen levels, YOUR HEALTH WILL BE LOST! Read more
