Can you be depressed and not know it?
We talked yesterday about how setting goals is the best way to recognize your greatness, and how meeting with like minds is the best way to ensure consistent action toward your goals.
Sometimes you can’t see what is getting in your way!
The Mastermind Team can “hear what you really want” and they can see what you can’t.
One of my very first mastermind team mates changed her life after the mastermind group helped her shine a light on her symptoms of depression!
I used to mastermind with a group of ladies at the gym, way back before I called it Masterminding. We would sit on the floor in the aerobics room, surrounded by mirrors and stretch ourselves from head to toe.
(Of course today I would ONLY stretch like that AFTER a workout, but that’s another story.)
It was so encouraging to see their familiar faces each Monday, Wednesday and Friday … same time, same place. The wonderful life lessons shared and heart warming stories enjoyed by the group have stayed with me over the years.
Joy was a beautiful woman who was always sharing fitness resources. She would bring the group the newest lifting techniques and philosophies, which would often spark debate. Joy was a walking talking advertisement for the nutritional supplement that she swore by.
Yet Joy didn’t have much Joy.
One morning as the ladies gathered, Joy began sharing her heartache over losing her mother. Read more
Concerned About Paxil Side Effects?

There was recently a class action law suit filed against GlaxoSmithKline, the makers of Paxil, because “controlled release” tablets made between April 1, 2002 and March 4, 2005, contained a manufacturing defect that caused them to split apart.
Patient’s prescribed these drugs may have received the entire dose at once, or the time release portion of the pill without the active ingredient.
You should be concerned about Paxil side effects whether you took the pill back then, or you’re taking it today minus the manufacturer’s defect!
On March 22, 2004 the FDA issued an extraordinary Public Health Advisory that cautioned about the risks associated with the new generation of antidepressants
-
Prozac
-
Zoloft
-
Paxil
-
Luvox
-
Celexa
-
Lexapro
-
Wellbutrin
-
Effexor
-
Serzone
-
Remeron
The warning followed a public hearing at which dozens of family members of victims testified about suicide and violence committed by individuals taking these medications.
From agitation and hostility to impulsivity and mania, the FDA’s litany of antidepressant-induced behaviors is identical to those induced by:
PCP methamphetamine cocaine(Drugs known to cause aggression and violence.)
These older stimulants and most of the newer antidepressants cause similar effects as a result of their influencing brain levels of the same neurotransmitter, serotonin.
As a result of an orchestrated psychiatric campaign to diagnose children with “bipolar disorder,” increasing numbers of children are being given these drugs.Be aware that all of these drugs work in the same way. Paxil is contraindicated for patients younger than 18 because Paxil side effects are just too dangerous. (Look it up!)Is the profit to be made by creating addicts very early in life causing the irresponsible recruiting of young people?
-
carbamazapine (brand names Tegretol, Equetro)
-
gabapentin (Neurontin)
-
lamotrigine (Lamictal)
-
topiramate (Topamax)
-
valproate (Depakote)
All of these drugs are being prescribed for varying psychiatric purposes, including the treatment of anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder.
Shortly after the release of the Public Health Advisory the FDA and GlaxoSmithKline notified healthcare professionals of revisions to the WARNINGS and PRECAUTIONS sections of Paxil labeling to alert healthcare professionals that patients with major depressive disorder, both adult and pediatric:
“may experience worsening of their depression and/or the emergence of suicidal ideation and behavior (suicidal tendencies), whether or not they are taking antidepressant medications.”
In the most recent edition of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition, Text Revision under Differential Diagnosis it states:
“Serotonin-specific reuptake inhibitor antidepressant medications may produce akathisia . . .” “Akathisia may be associated with dysphoria (restlessness, depression & anxiety), irritability, aggression, or suicide attempts.”
So you tell me,
Was it ethical for the FDA and GlaxoSmithKline to calm worries about these drugs by stating that worsening symptoms may occur with or without the medications?

It has been far too long since I plugged in and connected with you!
Let me assure you that you have been on my mind daily!
I am always thinking about things I want to share with you and information that is important for you to be aware of.
There is SO much going on in my life with running my business, single parenting my children, and the increased chaos from the holidays! Overwhelm is down right depressing!
I’m not about to head to my doctor and see what kind of medication he can give me to mask my symptoms of depression.
Depression is my personal rival!
Overwhelm gets to the best of us, but when you begin to experience symptoms of depression, it’s time to nurture yourself and reach out to your support system.

Your Symptoms of Depression are Big Business, Why Should That Concern You?

Your symptoms of depression are a gold mine!
Psychiatric drug pushers are thrilled to help you find relief!
You are bound to be so distressed about your symptoms, or those of a loved one, that you are NOT likely to argue with them when they quickly give you a prescription to solve the problem.
Cha-ching! Big bucks are flowing into the pockets of rich and powerful people, so they don’t care that they are peddling a prescription for violence.
If your doctor isn’t concerned, why should you be?
Heck, you know you aren’t a violent person, how could any pill make you do something you KNOW you would never do?
Your doctor would never give you a drug that could cause you to harm yourself or others, right?
The Citizen’s Commission for Human Rights disagrees!
They make it there job to inform you of what they believe the truth to be.
I agree with every word! Take 2 minutes to listen to what they have to say and then take your time deciding what YOU believe.
I hope this video compels you to seek out YOUR truth!
Don’t take your doctor’s word for it!
Please, I would hate to see you hurt for the sake of profit!
Your doctor wants to drug your symptoms of depression?
Ask him/her for medical evidence of your illness.
You won’t be given any because there is no scientific proof that drugging symptoms of depression is helpful or effective.
However, there is proof that psychiatric drugs are incredibly dangerous!
Look, if you feel like you are a danger to yourself, or that you are suffering with symptoms of mental illness, Read more
Do Your Symptoms of Depression, Anxiety and Fear Need To Be Drugged?

If your mental health care professional tells you that you should take medication for your symptoms of depression, anxiety and fear, is that reason enough to take it?
Would you like some proof that the medication is safe and effective?
You will not find any scientific proof that psychiatric drugs are safe OR effective treatment for any of your symptoms.
In fact, there is proof that they cause the symptoms they are supposed to treat!
Does that sound scientific to you? Are you aware of the known side effects of psychiatric medication?
You Owe It To Yourself To Find Out the Facts! Watch the following video with an open mind and judge for yourself.
It will take 2 and a half minutes to convince you that you should know what you are swallowing.
I hope you feel compelled to share this information with your friends and family, because I would hate to see you or them hurt by a hasty decision.
I want my best friends to have the best care. What your doctor “doesn’t know” could kill you!
If the drug companies are powerful enough to get away with what they are doing, then it is up to you and me to spread the word.
You will find out more about the side effects of these dangerous drugs if you take the time to go to You Tube and watch the play list for the Citizen’s Commission on Human Rights International.
There is a simple approach to depression and mental health. You owe it to yourself to try healing without harm BEFORE you succumb to drugs.

Want To Stop Feeling Depressed?

It is a gray and rainy day on the Big Island of Hawaii.
I started the day with a conversation with a depressed (and depressing) friend.
It really set the mood for the morning. My friends dark energy just seemed to cling to me.
When I took my daughter to the bus, the cold wind and pounding rain seemed to match my mood.
Last week when we were traveling down our road on the way to the school bus stop, my daughter was awe struck by the beautiful view, and grabbed the camera to take a picture through the wind shield, which was over due for a cleaning.
I was so surprised when I got home and took a look at the picture.
Through that dirty window, she had captured the awesome beauty of the morning.

I chuckled, and thought, “wow, awesome beauty shines so brightly, ya don’t notice how murky your field of vision is.”
It reminded me of life. No matter how stuck in the mud you are, just keep your eye on awesome, and you will be transformed.
Today, just the memory of that beautiful morning shines a light on my dark mood.
I am blessed.
Leave your email address in the box at the right. Let’s focus on awesome together. You don’t have to be depressed.
Let’s stay in touch.
Many blessings,
Carrie
