Is Your Spouse Too Needy? Looking For Relationship Problem Advice?

Is Your Spouse Too Needy? Looking For Relationship Problem Advice?

Is your spouse or maybe another close relation driving you nuts with their neediness?

You love them, but you don’t love being sucked dry?

Even healthy relationships have their challenges.

The relationship problem advice you are seeking might give you as much insight into your own neediness as your spouse’s.

The source of neediness within a relationship lies with the “inner-child” needs and issues of both parties.

Both your inner child and their’s need to be considered to discover creative ways to nurture your relationship and satisfy that needy feeling.

In case you don’t know this about me, I’m a parenting instructor as well as a health coach.  When I get the chance, I teach Redirecting Children’s Behavior.

Whether I teach it in a classroom or over the fence to the neighbor, I’ve seen this powerful information change lives!

Understanding why your children do what they do is empowering all by itself.  Teaching them to meet their own needs empowers them and satisfies that needy feeling.

Redirecting Behavior starts with nurturing yourself and making sure your “bank” is full.  Then it is important to nurture all the important relationships in your life by making deposits in the “bank” of the one you love, more often than you withdraw from it!

When dealing with adults it is easy to see how nurturing their inner child will get you a whole lot further than arguing with them.

In the case of self sabotage, the answers lie within.  The answers lie with YOUR inner child.

Want to understand the inner child that’s driving you nuts?

If you are self sabotaging, or your needy spouse is mis-behaving you need to understand what might be the underlying goal of the behavior.

The first sign that this is an issue is probably going to be your irritation with yourself and/or others.

When you feel irritated, ask yourself which of the mistaken goals below might be the issue. Read more

Can You Trust Your Community For Help With Symptoms of Depression?

June 5, 2010 by Carrie Tucker

Recently I had the opportunity to reflect on a very difficult health crisis and how it effected my family.

I was sorting paper work, getting rid of clutter and cherishing wonderful memories and keep sakes as I discovered them among the chaos.

One tattered piece of paper I opened as I was filing, was a writing exercise that my oldest daughter had written  several months after my recovery.

Looking back, I realize that I was unaware how deeply the incident had effected her.  Briana is usually very good at expressing her emotions, but I’m sure she was trying to “take care of mom”, and didn’t want to worry me with her anxiety.

The whole ordeal took a lot out of me.   Life was kinda foggy for me at the time.  I was doing all I could just to get back on my feet, and I wasn’t even recognizing my own symptoms of depression.

It makes me a little sad that I wasn’t there for her, but I’m so glad that she was able to express those feelings right there in her creative writing class almost a year later.

In 2005, at the end of March, my baby brother was born.

Just a bundle of velvet skin.

I was so anxious that something might happen to my mom, but everything was fine.

A few months later, I was alarmed and frightened to see my mother’s neck slowly blow up like a balloon.

Soon it looked like a red rock sticking out of her neck.

It was scary.

She went to the doctor, and they put her in the hospital.  When that happened, Read more

Will the Causes of Extreme Fatigue Cost You Quality Time?

Will the Causes of Extreme Fatigue Cost You Quality Time?

Are you ready for the summer?

In the US we are finishing up the school year and heading into holiday.

Did you finish your spring cleaning and get your body into swim suit condition?

Maybe your priorities have changed.  Have you become less concerned about how you look and more concerned about your long term health?

If feeling good well into the future has become top priority for you, eating healthier and committing to an exercise program should be on your to do list.

Feeling good is a worthy goal spring, summer, winter or fall.

Fitness is wasted on the young.  When you can’t get out and enjoy your grand-son’s baseball game, fitness is about more than looking good, it’s about quality of life!  The causes of extreme fatigue may not be obvious, but the effects are hard to ignore.

Do you hit a wall every evening?  Are you so tired at the end of the day that you can’t enjoy your family? Read more

Global Warming

Do you know people who choose to bury their head in the sand about climate change?

Global Warming Facts are hard to dismiss, but denial works for some people.

You are what you eat, drink, think and do!

Mother Earth depends on us to keep her healthy.  If we dump on her and take her resources for granted, future generations will suffer the consequences.

It makes sense to use only what you need.

It feels GOOD to use only what you need!

Fill your life with purpose and you will find the inspiration to get up everyday filled with determination and gratitude.

One person can make a big difference in SO many ways!

Choosing less meat and more organic foods in your diet can make a huge impact on global warming!

Hey wait, won’t choosing less meat and more organic foods in your diet make a huge impact on your health, too?

Seems like we have discovered a pattern here.

Is what’s good for the planet good for you. too?

  • Use non-toxic cleaning products.
  • Plant a tree!  (Enjoy the outdoors with your family!)
  • Shop locally for food.  Farmers Markets are great, fresh foods take less energy to produce than packaged foods. (Build community while you’re there! Say hello to your neighbors)
  • Insulate your home better, and reap the rewards with a cozy place to rest and recuperate.
  • Turn off the television and go for a walk!  (You’ll love it!)
  • Every time you do something that has a positive impact on your home, your community, and our planet you can feel good about it.

Contribution and Connection are definitely 2 powerful Heart Failure Solutions!

Educate Yourself About Global Warming Facts and Take Action!

Bloggers around the world are taking action today as part of Blog Action Day to bring awareness to global warming!

One person can make a huge difference!

Could a Spiritual Conspiracy Create Therapeutic Communities?

October 5, 2009 by Carrie Tucker

Therapeutic Communities are places that people go when they need help with a problem they can’t handle on their own.  Wouldn’t it be great if every community was therapeutic?

Recently my girlfriend sent me an email with a wonderful article about Spiritual Conspiracy.  The author is unknown, but I can totally relate to the Spiritual Conspiracy they describe!

That Spiritual Conspiracy is just the kind of power it will take to create nurturing communities during this difficult time of economic hardship.

========================================

What is a Spiritual Conspiracy?

On the surface of the world right now there is war and violence and things seem dark.

But calmly and quietly, at the same time, something else is happening underground.  An inner revolution is taking place and certain individuals are being called to a higher light.

It is a silent revolution.  From the inside out.  From the ground up.

This is a Global operation.

A Spiritual Conspiracy.

There are sleeper cells in every nation on the planet.

You won’t see us on the television.  You won’t read about us in the newspaper.  You won’t hear about us on the radio.  We don’t seek any glory.  We don’t wear any uniform.  We come in all shapes and sizes, colors and styles.  Most of us work anonymously.

We are quietly working behind the scenes in every country and culture of the world.  Cities big and small, mountains and valleys, in farms and villages, tribes and remote islands.

You could pass by one of us on the street and not even notice.  We go undercover.  We remain behind the scenes.  It is of no concern to us who takes the final credit.  But simply that the work gets done.

Occasionally we spot each other in the street.  We give a quiet nod and continue on our way.  During the day many of us pretend we have normal jobs.  But behind the false storefront at night is where the real work takes place.

Some call us the Conscious Army.

We are slowly creating a new world with the power of our minds and hearts.  We follow, with passion and joy.  Our orders come from from the Central Spiritual Intelligence.

We are dropping soft, secret love bombs when no one is looking.

Poems ~ Hugs ~ Music ~ Photography ~ Movies ~ Kind words ~ Smiles ~ Meditation and prayer ~ Dance ~ Social activism ~ Websites Blogs ~ Random acts of kindness…

We each express ourselves in our own unique ways with our own unique gifts and talents.

Be the change you want to see in the world.

That is the motto that fills our hearts.  We know it is the only way real transformation takes place.  We know that quietly and humbly we have the power of all the oceans combined.

Our work is slow and meticulous.  Like the formation of mountains.  It is not even visible at first glance.  And yet with it entire tectonic plates shall be moved in the centuries to come.

Love is the new religion of the 21st century.

You dont have to be a highly educated person Or have any exceptional knowledge to understand it.  It comes from the intelligence of the heart.  Embedded in the timeless evolutionary pulse of all human beings.

Be the change you want to see in the world!

Nobody else can do it for you!

We are now recruiting.

Perhaps you will join us.  Or already have.

All are welcome.  The door is open.

Is There A Hole In Your World This September 11th?

September 11, 2009 by Carrie Tucker

The 2004 Tribute in Light memorial.

Do you remember the way you felt that horrible September 11th eight years ago?  It was early morning in Hawaii, and I remember it well.

My heart aches as I type this.

How did you process your emotions of sorrow and anguish?  The world is still mourning that day!

My process involved a whole lotta tears.  I hope you found something equally as effective.  You can’t keep that strong emotion inside you, even though it may feel safer to stuff it.

It isn’t necessary to focus on painful anniversaries, but if they bring up old emotion, take advantage of the blessing and release all that stuff you’ve been holding onto.

Be gentle with yourself.  Time heals but it can also bring up new layers of grief.  Some aspects of the grieving process are just too painful to bear until some time has passed.

The following song really helps me.  The Eagles wrote it during their healing process from 9–11.  I love what they ask from each of us.

Besides ripping our hearts out, September 11th also caused us to reach out to each other in a way that I don’t think many had experienced in their lifetime.

Didn’t the pain of September 11th cause your hardened heart to melt?

What have you done with all that fear and sorrow?

What steps have you taken to assure that there will never be such a hole in the world ever agian?

What steps can you take today?

What can you do to heal the world so there will be no more holes?

One person CAN make a difference!

Many blessings,

Carrie
