Life can keep you running 24/7!
Even my retired friends tell me they just don’t know where the days go.
They say they got more done when they were chasing their tails. Some have jumped into new activities that keep them just as busy as ever.
I’m sure this sounds familiar to you.
Do you take care of yourself?
Today I offer you some simple tips that you can use everyday to make yourself feel better.
Stick with it, because you will find that it is cumulative, and the better you feel, the more you will want to do for yourself!
The most important way to “catch your breath” is by finding the time to relax every muscle in your body and be still, for a few minutes everyday.
- Releasing the tension will actually allow you to breathe more deeply.
- By checking in with yourself, you allow a chance to get centered, and to find out “how you are”.
- Just becoming aware of your feelings, offers the opportunity to release them.
- When you have “arrived” at a state of relaxation, you are able to access your intuition, and your day becomes much more efficient.
- Surrender is a very beneficial vantage point, accepting what IS allows you to move forward.
- Though it seems like relaxation should come naturally, it actually requires practice to get better results.
The second most important way to build your health, is by intentionally building your lung capacity.
- Take 30 to 40 deep breaths everyday.
- To live longer with a better quality of life, use as much of your lungs as possible.
- Think of a sigh as a health building tool.
Last but certainly not least, is the importance of activity.
- Inactivity will lead you to an early death.
- Your heart is a muscle, if you don’t give it work to do, it will become progressively weaker.
- Abundant life requires sweat.
Some health building measures go without saying, but I will list them anyway.
- Eat food in the most unaltered state possible. Nature knows what she is doing.
- You need pure water EVERYDAY! The more pure the better. Sip, don’t gulp, all day long.
- Sunshine is required for many chemical processes in your body, and depression may disappear with regular exposure to sunshine.
- Laughter is the strongest most beneficial “drug” you will ever experience.
It really isn’t so hard to do take care of yourself each and everyday. Each little thing you can manage from the list above will grow your health.
Growing your health will grow your joy.
You can do it! Catch your breath, and enjoy your day!
Many blessings,
Carrie
