Can a Detox Diet Help You Bring Your Life Into Focus?

There aren’t enough hours in the day!
Seriously! How do YOU get everything done?
Do you ever feel like you are chasing your tail?
That tail chasing feeling is usually accompanied by the nagging feeling that you are forgetting something.
What a bummer when you ARE forgetting something!
Like your supplements or medication! … Need a reminder service?
That can be arranged… but what do you do if you are forgetting to breathe?!
I don’t mean the minimal breathing that keeps us alive.
Breathing is automatic. If we had to remember to breathe, we would die.
Athletes and singers think about their breathing. They practice at building their breath. However, most people don’t realize they are not breathing effectively.
You’d feel a lot better if you were using your lungs to their full capacity!
There is great value in a breath building program!
Would you like more energy, more calm confidence, the ability to recover your well being?!
That is what a breath building program can do for you.
However….
The problem is that unless you have some ulterior motive to improve performance, or your singing voice, you’re not likely to stick with the application of breath building exercises.
Do you really care how you sound in the shower?
You are just not likely to give breath building your time.
Even if you are really suffering, you may not notice quickly enough improvement in how you feel to motivate you to continue doing it.
So how can you benefit from better breathing if you don’t have the motivation to accomplish it?
The number one reason that you hold your breath… is tension.
Reducing your tension will increase the size of your breath, because your rigid muscles will no longer be squeezing the life out of you!
RELAX! So that YOU can breathe a sigh of relief!
The cause of your tension could be obvious… or not.
Consistent relaxation practice is the only way to make progress!
If you reduce your tension you breathe more deeply.
“Practice relaxing? I think I know how to do that!”
Don’t be insulted, I know that you know how to relax; however, I’m asking you to make time each day to devote to releasing the tension that is constantly building.
Simply committing to consistent practice will get you the results you need! I really want that for you.
Relaxation is not something anyone can give you. It is something you have to do for yourself.
Give yourself health building, stress reducing, life saving RELAXATION!
- You must work at this.
- You can’t find it in a pill.
- There is no magic yoga posture.
- Every method requires consistent practice.
- Guided meditation, or meditation technology is helpful only when you use it consistently.
- Adequate sleep is necessary to achieve any significant level of relaxation.
- Facing your emotions is the only way to release tension.
Okay, hold the phone here.
How do you consistently practice relaxing if you are ants in the pants uncomfortable to sit in quiet stillness?
REALLY good question!
How do you do ANYTHING that makes you ants in the pants uncomfortable?
Let me ask you a question.
Are you sick and tired of being tense, stiff, and downright irritable?
Do you have really nice friends who are often outwardly irritable?
Are some people just hopelessly stiff, prone to bouts of bitchiness, and cursed to a life of pain and misery?
How can your lovely friends achieve quiet stillness so that they can release those trapped emotions that are plaguing them?
Can a detox diet really help to bring you to a place of focused quiet stillness?
How can a detox diet help you release trapped emotions to resolve blockages, relieve tension, decrease stiffness, and lessen irritability? Read more
Can Symptoms Of Depression Lead To An Emotional Storm Of Healing?

Depression reminds me of a slow drizzle on a gray day.
Doesn’t depression even feel like a slow drizzle?
I mean it isn’t something you would associate with a down pour.
Depression is more like an endless gloomy day.
__________
We have had an unusual number of gray drizzly days. Every time I look out my window I feel a bit depressed.
When I get out in the drizzle, I pull my coat around me tightly and hurry through my daily walk.
Well today, I looked up at the sky from my desk and wondered what kind of a walk I would have today.
Intermittent clouds threatened to make it soggy, and after the pounding rains last night, I wondered if I might need an umbrella.
By the time I put my shoes on and leashed up the dogs, it looked like the sun was going to shine down on us.
We hit the road with the cool trade winds blowing a light drizzle in our faces, and the sun warming our backs.
Right away I was struck by the loud sound of flowing water from a stream that had accumulated where there isn’t normally a stream.
“What a treat!”
Just the sound seemed to wash away my dark mood.
When we reached a part of the road where the flowing water traveled through the tall grass and splashed down small unseen water falls, it seemed like the sound was all around us.
The little stream that runs beside our daily walk had come to life during the down pour last night.
Where the new road is being plowed at the end of the pavement, there was glistening beauty, and sparkling playful waterfalls where the bare earth lie exposed yesterday.
I took the time to be still and breathe in the wonderful peaceful feeling the stream had created.
The flowing water seemed to have made the world pure and clean again.
My light mood was a gift from the storm.
__________
Your symptoms of depression really can give way to an emotional storm that can wash away the wounds of the past if you allow it.
Mother Nature’s dramatic storm had washed the world clean. When you let your emotions RIP… they are capable of washing YOU clean.
Powerful emotions move you!
Whether it is excitement or intense grief, the shear power of the emotion can be felt in your gut, and often causes you to feel like if you don’t move or make some kinda noise, you will just burst. Powerful emotions get your juices flowing. If you need professional help to handle it, then get it for yourself.
Intense emotion MUST be expressed!
If you suppress an intense emotion you can feel it rot your gut and climb up your throat.
If you get the message, when you are very young, that it is not okay to express unpleasant emotions, then you develop the habit of stuffing your emotions.
Stuffing your emotions will cause you much suffering.
Emotions are our spiritual compass. They are meant to give direction in the moment they arise.
It is your choice to follow the direction your emotions point you, or consistently release and ignore them.
When you choose to deny an emotion you prevent the release of that energy.
Emotions become trapped inside you.
Your emotions are not meant to be held! They must find expression.
Trapped emotions can’t be released until you find stillness.
Bringing stillness to your thoughts and physical senses will create free flowing fluid movement internally.
Once you free hardened, crystallized emotion, resisting it will trap it within your body once again.
Just feel it and release it.
(It is your responsibility to express your angry feelings in private where you will not harm anyone else.)

Barack Obama’s Family Is A Great Role Model: Do You Put Family First?

How do you lose focus on what’s important?
I mean, nobody likes to admit it, but have you ever found yourself so engrossed in learning a new skill, and perfecting that new skill, that you forgot the point of learning the skill in the first place?
Back in November and December I was really focused on getting valuable information to my readers. A change in the technology presented a real challenge to my skill level.
It has really been a fun journey. Here we are in March and the slide show, that will give the home page pictures, is not quite finished! (But will be very soon!)
Let’s not even talk about those community forum challenges! (Not quite so close to complete.)
But hey, I have had a great time learning and growing!
The past week I have become painfully aware of how scattered my focus is.
I took the time to learn these new skills because I want you to be able to find the information that will help YOU, just as quickly as possible when you visit my blog.
So Why Have My Posts Been Few and Far Between Since January?!
Well, first off, let me apologize to you. I lied to you! After promising to stay in touch, and having every intention of reaching out daily with support and friendship, I have let you down!
I truly care about you!
So how could I let you down like that?
Did you miss me?
I hope you have so much support from friends and family that you didn’t notice the lack of support!
Our friends and family are the ones we turn to for comfort when times get tough.
Barack Obama’s Family is a perfect example of family supporting each other in the good times as well.
While I was focused on working through my frustrating learning curve, I also let my support and communication with my children slide.
You know… I was there, but I wasn’t.
Thank goodness I have only been living in this daze for a few months.
Again, I apologize! I have awakened with a new zest for life.
The “How To” is NOT important without those who really matter to you!
The past week has actually been a lot of fun. When I came to my senses and realized that I had some lost time to make up for, I was on a mission to reconnect with everyone I love. Everyone has been busy doing new things and exploring new interests!
I wasn’t aware how disconnected I had become until I realized how much I had missed.
My mom and dad were more informed than I was! They live in Montana, yet they knew more about my daughter’s efforts to raise money for a trip to China than I did!
They found out more about their grand-daughter from My Space and email than I did picking her up from the bus and eating dinner with her!
Glad I didn’t miss the little message that my life was passing me by, and my daughter growing up without my active involvement!
Any wake up call will do! When you look around and see that you have lost sight of your priorities, it is time for corrective course action!
When I took action to mend the broken connection with each of my kids, I began to notice a lot of places in my life that needed attention.
Most importantly I saw the huge holes here on my blog.
“I have so much to give you. I talk to you all day everyday!
Now it is time to get it out to you consistently!”
When you get things right in one area of your life, that will help you make improvements in every other aspect of your life!
I am getting rid of things I’ve had for years!
Suddenly the house is so much more open, and wearing a brand new energy. My kids seem to be laughing more and and enjoying each others’ company instead of holing up in their rooms.
Have you done this type of purging?
When was the last time you did it? Maybe its time to do it again?
There is nothing like giving away what you don’t use, and shedding worn out belongings to create a SHIFT in your vibrational frequency.
Times of change, by choice or circumstance, give you an opportunity to bring clarity to every aspect of your life.
Losing site of my priorities has been a blessing.
I have been given a chance to reflect on just how important my relationships are, and how much YOU really matter to me.
Thank goodness more time wasn’t lost.
Have you disconnected from the people in your life?
Is it time that you took corrective course action?
Don’t let another day go by without taking stock of your blessings and showing them appreciation!
I know that you have people in your life who are counting on you just like I do. Your community needs you.
You can make the world a better place. One person really can make a difference!
The Secret Is Staying Connected
I am glad to have renewed focus. Living in each moment and staying connected to those around me will remind me to serve daily, starting with a post to this blog.
I am proud of what I am able to accomplish by plugging in and connecting on a regular basis with caregivers wanting better quality of life for their patients and for themselves.
I care, and I want to help you and those you care for!
The simplest things will make ALL the difference.
You have so much to share!

Release Negative Energy So That You Can Vibrate With Joy!
Have you ever had your good mood soured by someone else’s bad attitude?
Shoot, with public cell phone use these days, you can share all the drama in a strangers life, if you stand in line with them long enough!
Ever tried NOT to eaves drop on half a conversation being screamed into a cell phone?
Its just not doable without putting a finger in each ear saying “LA-LA-LA-LA!” (No wonder so many people keep their ears plugged with audio devices.)
If that high decibel conversation is negative, and you forgot to bring your ipod, ya might be tempted.
If you prefer to avoid childish behavior in public,
Try This Helpful Tactic
*Visualize the noise hitting you like a brick wall for a few minutes.
*Now FEEL the noise passing through you, like the wind through the trees.
Feel the difference?
Like noise, you can’t necessarily SEE negative energy, but you CAN feel it!
When you bump into someone in a powerful bad mood, you can feel your good mood sour, can’t you?
Can you shake it off and continue with your happy day?
That depends entirely on how much negative energy you are carrying around in your body.
Would you like to reduce your stored negative energy so that you can stay happy even when someone is raining on your parade?
Would you truly like to discover the meaning of happiness?
The helpful tactic above is great in a pinch, but in order to literally vibrate with joy, you will need to consistently practice releasing negative energy.
Negative energy creates powerful emotions. When you release negativity, you release tension. You lighten your load.
Harness feelings of resentment, judgment, and dread, and you will rot your guts out!
Release them, and you will feel the weight of the world being lifted from your shoulders.
Aaaaahhhhhhhh……..it feels so wonderful to release that negative energy.
You can really notice what you are grateful for when you are light hearted.
When you notice what you are grateful for, you create powerful positive energy.
“Alright already, how the hell do I discover the meaning of happiness!?”
Is that what you are thinking?
Okay. Let’s make a road map to happiness, because when you get there, you will discover what YOUR “meaning of happiness” IS. Read more
Can America Afford Universal Health Care?
March 6, 2009 by Carrie Tucker

The US can’t afford Universal Health Care if the FDA has anything to say about it!
Protecting the interests of the drug industry is very expensive. There is no way any system can provide such a wasteful use of resources to all of its citizens.
Universal Health Care simply means health care for everyone.
Does everyone have the right to help when they are sick or injured?
Should you lose your home because you can’t pay for inflated medical bills. (Look at your charges from the hospital!)
Very poor people can access medical help. Depending on the state they are in, it might even be relatively decent care.
However, the working poor are in a really bad place. What a shame to work all your life and be denied care when you most need it!
I recently got an email from Dr. Julian Whitaker, urging me to put my signature on a petition to reform the FDA.
Thank you, Dr. Whitaker, for bringing my attention to this project. I will gladly add my name to the list of citizens demanding that this government agency be completely restructured.
More money will not fix the FDA!
At this point, the agency admits that they lack the competency to keep up with scientific advances, and CANNOT determine if new drugs are safe or effective!
The agency can’t even promise us that our food supply is safe!
